Merrimack Valley is home to the state's largest concentration of Free Staters living in and around Manchester, Concord and Nashua. Each week here is packed with opportunities to socialize, volunteer, learn and promote liberty. Some of these events draw activists from all over the state, and the monthly New Mover Potluck attracts 50+ people.

Seacoast

With pristine salt water bays, fine dining, and live comedy shows, the Seacoast is the place for libertarians seeking a cosmopolitan life.

Here you’ll find three liberty community centers! The SHELL, clubhouse and events venue that hosts a monthly New Movers Brunch, as well as debates, movie nights, and live stand-up comedy. The Independence Inn, an inn and farm-to-table bistro with monthly Liberty and Homesteading meetups. And the Praxeum, a members-only homeschooling hub and remote work space.

Monadnock

The Monadnock Region is home to Keene, offering a unique blend of city life, small size, and college town vibrancy. Here you'll find merchants leading the world in cryptocurrency acceptance and a central square with a strong free speech tradition. About 5-10 people attend Keene’s Social Sunday, the longest running weekly liberty gathering in New Hampshire.

Meanwhile, the surrounding small towns attract those exploring alternative health, education, and lifestyle choices. Outdoor and community events are common in the summer, often drawing 20+ people.

Lakes Region

The Lakes Region is home to nearly 300 bodies of water, along with the Lakes Region Porcupines, a group that has been meeting monthly for many years. This social gathering has turned into a goodwill organization, offering emergency radio communications, a blood drive, and a toy drive.

Other monthly meetups in this region include Ossipee Porcupines Meetup and Carroll County Potluck. Contact a Lakes Region Porcupine for more local insights! welcome.lakes@fsp.org

Upper Valley

The Upper Valley features scenic mountains and lakes, along with the conveniences of the Dartmouth-Sunapee area. Lots of liberty families settle here! Bardo Farm is the main hub of this region, hosting crowded monthly potlucks, often combined with seasonal celebrations like fireworks, a zombie apocalypse game, or Yankee Christmas swap. Other local events include “Liberty Tuesday” and “Freedom Thursday” monthly dinner meetups.

Pemi Valley

The Pemigewasset Valley Region is the place to build bridges: Free Staters are coordinating with locals to tackle issues they both care about. Conservatives and libertarians, constitutionalists and anarchists are all allies in Pemi Valley. The common need for community and protection against overreaching government has brought them together.
